When I first saw this video at the beginning of the school year, I found it to be 100% beneficial, but after seeing the video again and trying to think of other perspectives, I feel that this could be harmful to students as many students already worry about school shootings. Seeing this video could scare schoolkids and make them feel fearful. On the other hand, it is somewhat beneficial because it plays to our emotions and helps adults understand the fears some kids have, which may in turn cause adults to take action.

The advertisement is, without a shadow of doubt, effective in raising awareness about school shooting. The way it develops a trivial back to school day into a life and death situation by the transformation of common objects into self defense weapons strongly appeals to the emotions, specially for parents. Nevertheless, it is not totally beneficial as it may discourage students from going to school due to the fear of being victims of those events regardless of the low probabilities.
