Guns as Teaching Tools

Background Information
This meme is responding to the current U.S. debate about how to address the increasing numbers of massacres on school grounds. Rather than address gun control regulation, Trump has proposed that teachers be armed. This simplifies a policy issue.

This is propaganda because
This is a meme that I found on a friend's Instagram page. It looks like a drawing on a blackboard -- could it have been created by a teacher or student?

The author used a very good image to depict a good conversation. This image one without words in my opinion speaks for itself. I like that the author used powerful words and and an image to show something very important happening right now in the United States. I also love the fact that this image is using the technique of activating strong emotion because the image is so powerful and telling.

The creator of this piece of propaganda effectively drew on the imagery of the two main factors in a current events issue. "Should teachers carry guns in schools?" There's the chalkboard imagery (schools/teachers) and the 9mm (obviously, a gun). In recognizing the four techniques of propaganda, it seems as though this piece seeks to simplify the information. It is easily digestible.
