This is a website and organization that supports the idea that families should have a choice whether or not to mask their children. UTKA says that they understand families unique situations, like health risks for example. UTKA actively believes in the individual choice to determine whether or not children should have to wear masks to protect against COVID-19.

The idea of unmasking children in America is purely opinionated. There is no scientific evidence or notice from the CDC that unmasking children will do either any harm or benefit. It is mostly geared towards those who often believe that Covid 19 is fake, or not as serious. This is propaganda because there are many people who fight to keep children masked. For those who are against this idea, this can be seen as an attack.

    I think that this example of propaganda was very harmful and was shocked to see the results. I did not consider it to be "harmful" specifically because I thought there were other examples of propaganda that were worse or way more harmful than this one so to speak. I saw that 50% of individuals rated this to be "harmful," to which I honestly couldn't agree more. I was shocked to see that 13% of individuals found this entirely "beneficial" while 25% rated just to the right of "beneficial." I know that it can get very contradictory due to COVID-19 having a hold on our normal and everyday lives, however the mask was a lot for me personally. I think there is a strong difference between encouraging others to do/play their part in this pandemic and wearing a mask that literally says "follow the science and we shouldn't be wearing these." This seems incredibly hurtful and harmful to those who have lost loved ones to COVID-19. Regardless of anyone's political standpoint or stance on COVID-19, I do not think that statistics on death have lied. It diminishes all of the hurt that others have gone through as they have lost people that are incredibly important to them. Wearing a mask and having this be contradictory to the message itself just does not seem beneficial to me in any way. I know that this is entirely opinionated, but it seems like a bit much and very hurtful. I think that it is okay to have your own opinions on COVID-19, however wearing and promoting them on a mask seems like a lot to me. Everyone and anyone is entitled to their own opinion, however we don't really see everyone's opinions just stitched on certain articles of clothing such as this one. Personally I feel as though this turns into a political debate and proves how/why propaganda can be so hurtful and harmful. This shifts the entire pandemic from caring about the safety of others to fully arguing about politics and what we should and shouldn't do. I don't think it should be an argument as to what we should do or when, but rather we should just advocate for keeping everyone safe. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, however I personally felt as though this was a prime example as to how and why propaganda can get out of control/ be misrepresented.

    This propaganda is harmful and that is how I rated it. There is no science that unmasking kids is safer for the people. There is only science that wearing a mask can prevent the spread of viruses. This propaganda can be misleading to people who are not educated and they could start to think no masks is okay. I understand how this propaganda can spark an argument, because there is two sides to everything. Some may argue that unmasking kids is beneficial because it is hard to learn with them on.

    This is harmful due to reducing the spread of Covid-19 among children. Masking children is important to stop the spread it doesn't mean kids need to be masked forever just until the virus can be contained for everyone to be safe.

    This propaganda is of course controversial and can be tricky because it has gotten political instead of focusing on the medical aspects. This post appeals to one audience and that is those who believe kids do not need to be wearing masks because there is not a lot of harm to them from COVID. I rated this more towards the beneficial side just because of my beliefs with masking kids along with the other 25% and 13% of people who rated this. The rest, 23% and 38% leaned more towards harmful.
