Background Information
This is an example of propaganda that was distributed as part of the Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election campaign. The ad is designed to alienate or disenfranchise African American voters and discourage them from participating in the election. It also may create tension between African Americans who served honorably in Iraq and Afghanistan from those not involved in the military.

The Russian linked social media accounts that saw racial tensions are something to be exploited in order to achieve the broader Russian goal of dividing Americans and creating chaos in the U.S. The Facebook account had 360,000 likes more than the black lives matter account. Black families are divided and destroyed by mass, and incarceration.
