Background Information
This piece I feel fits more than just the one I chose; it may also fit simplify ideas and attack opponents. However, the main strategy is to scare people who do smoke into quitting because the cigarettes are slowly eating away at their lungs.
Technique Used
Activate Emotion
This is propaganda because
This is an anti-smoking campaign that is meant to resemble the paddle game, where you keep one of the white dots bouncing on the paddle, the cigarette, and it slowly deteriorates the healthy state of the lungs. This poster is relatively modern.

The ad is a very simple visual of how much and how fast smoking can destroy your body.

The purpose of this image is to show that cigarettes are harmful. Maybe not right away, but eventually they will hurt your lungs

This shows how much smoking effects your lungs and slowly kills you. It uses fear into making people stop smoking.

The pong-like picture of the lungs and a cigarette being the bounce bar is trying to really push the no more smoking campaign. I think that is successful in its accurate metaphor of what smoking does to you. It definitely appeals to all to push to quit smoking.

When propaganda is used to discourage products that have proven harmful, it can be very beneficial. This image shows the cigarette slowing destroying the lungs, much like the actual effects of tobacco on our respiratory systems. It may be dramatized, but it delivers accurate information in a straight-forward manner.

This ad dissuades viewers from smoking by making a simple and understandle comparison to a video game format. I think this particular ad is beneficial, due to the fact that it is highlighting health concerns only, and not encouraging negative representation of particular people (smokers) or promoting negative social labels. Personal health is the only concern here.

This propaganda is beneficial because smoking is bad for people and they are trying to get people to stop. This helps the human race to get better and quit smoking.

This image is trying to make me feel that cigarettes are terrible for you especially for your lungs. The specific part of this image that tells me that is the lungs being destroyed by the dot that is being saved by the cigarettes.

It could be a persuasive way for some people but it doesn't really get to your emotions so i dont think it would be too successful at persuading

It is making you feel sad for the people who smoke or if you smoke it is making you feel guilty because the cigarettes are eating away at your lungs.

This image is trying to make me feel fear at what cigarettes can really do to your my body. The cigarette at the bottom is the cause of this fear and the partially destroyed lungs are also what makes this feel fearful. I do think this is effective because it shows people just how much damage can be done by cigarettes and why you should not be using them.

This Picture is trying to scare and make you aware of the real damage of what smoking does to your lungs. The picture makes me think that because the image is of an old game where you would try to destroy all the bricks, but now instead of bricks it is lungs and the thing doing the damage is now displayed as a cigarette. I think this is an effective way to persuade someone because it makes you stop and open your eyes.

This image is trying to show you that smoking destroys your lungs. It is an image of a game where the cigarette hits the ball into your lungs and destroys parts of it. I think this image is an effective way to persuade someone because smoking isn't just for fun. It can ruin your lungs.
