Pathos is largely depicted within this image, as it tries to influence an audience using emotion by showing sick children with their mother who is against wearing masks. This specific piece can be harmful or beneficial depending on the person viewing the cartoon. On one side this cartoon attacks those who are against mask mandates, creating a less inclusive space for them. Then on the other side the cartoonist is attempting to influence the opposers so that they may change their opinion creating an all inclusive space. This cartoon represents a form of digital rhetoric.
