Hoax Video Against the Late Queen
Background Information
This is a Twitter post from user @wawerunjogu showing an alleged video of late Queen Elizabeth II throwing pieces of food at African children. This post is directed at the general public and is meant to make the Queen out to have been a bad person before her passing.
Technique Used
Attack Opponents
This is propaganda because
This post is an attack on the late Queen Elizabeth, using a video to persuade the public that she was a very immoral person before passing. It also uses pathos by evoking the audience's emotions towards the poor children in the video. The post was also made soon after her passing, which would be a very kairotic moment in which to make an argument against her, albeit in bad taste. It is harmful not only because it is disrespectful towards the Queen and her family, but also because the video shown is a hoax and not actually of Queen Elizabeth herself, but of a short film shot in Vietnam in 1901.
