This particular ad was for the clothing brand "Old Navy". This ad was shown on television. I would say the intended audience would be kids and their parents. The purpose of this ad was to showcase Old Navy having a 60% off clothing sale on all kids clothes.The genre would be a video advertisement.

This advertisement should be defined as propaganda because of the message of the ad is trying to get you to buy Old Navy's clothing. In the ad the boys mother dressed him like a professional or like a lawyer like he refers to in the ad. Once he sees a group of kids wearing cool clothes he points to them and asks his mom why cant he look like that. This makes the clothes seem more enticing to children and parents. I would consider this post a bit harmful to children that cant afford to shop because of money issues with the family. The child watching could feel bad they he/she might not have nice clothes like the kids on tv.
