Technique Used
Simplify Ideas
This is propaganda because
It is propaganda because it is simplifying information into a cartoon frog, and making it into what the audience needs. It is taking a racial idea from the United States, as Pepe is often used as an alt-right figure, and turning it on its head. It is displayed all around in Hong Kong as graffiti and stickers. Pepe is used as a figure of how people in Hong Kong are feeling as a sad, moody frog.
