Background Information
This is Propaganda simply because it is basically advertising Playstation. It is basically telling you all the great things about Playstation, and making a list of its history. It does not hide the fact Sony is a sponsored partner.
Technique Used
Respond to Audience Needs
This is propaganda because
Buzzfeed has posted a "list" of things that people relate to. They are known for doing this, and did one with Playstation. The only issue is, Sony Entertainment Network is a sponsored partner. It was posted on Feb. 19, 2013

I wouldn't say this is harmful or beneficial. It is good native advertising though.

Neither harmful nor beneficial. Pretty transparent in so far as who the message was created by, who it's for, and what's being sold.

I think this one is somewhere in the middle. It's positive because it could be informative for people who maybe don't play those games. However, it is an example of shameless self-promotion, which is hardly ever a great thing.

While there is no denying this particular BuzzFeed article is propaganda, I don't believe that it's actually very harmful. The title of the article definitely pulls people in to reading it as a rhetorical strategy to attract attention. Further, it is ultimately more advertising for Sony. That being said, there is nothing wrong or harmful about learning more about a product on the reader's end. It's just important to realize what's behind the information.
