Press Conference

Background Information
Educators and state representatives who objected to mandatory professional development designed to increase awareness of structural racism gave a press conference to complain about it. They object to professional development training that is mandatory and "hiding" its true identity as "critical race theory." They object to having staff responsible for "diversity, equity, and inclusion." They are claiming that CRT is a form of indoctrination. A state representative in a public press conference is using this press release to promote vouchers for private schools, putting pressure on public schools to change their so-called "radical leftist" attitudes.

This is propaganda because
A press conference is a very effective form of propaganda because activists get free media coverage for their cause.

My take: Strategic and intentional us-vs-them framing is trademark propaganda. It grabs attention & creates heroes & villains. Most notable in this press conference is how Florida politicians are using #CRT controversy to push new laws to expand vouchers for private schools.
