This comic uses parallel imagery to simply and effectively convey its message. By portraying the guns and scared citizens first, the author is able to immediately equate the cameras with violence. Without the first panel, the audience wouldn't see that the cameras are meant to be seen as similar to guns. The use of picket signs is also effective. It allows the author to package simpler, agreeable messages on the signs which adds another layer to the comic.
