Save the Children Syria Campaign

Background Information
It is a video focusing on the horrors that are occurring in Syria. They use one character and her experiences throughout an entire year to demonstrate just how much damage can be done to a child living in a war torn country.Save The Children made it.
Technique Used
Activate Emotion
This is propaganda because
I think it plays on the emotions of fear and sympathy because it plants the seed that just because it isn't happening in your country, that it still is happening elsewhere and that it could be possible to effect you one day. I think it is beneficial.

That this is showing how bad some have it and makes us fere for them. Most went with benifesol but the reason I say not it is not that bad and not happening it is sowing what they want people to see

This is a really important video, I think. Some might argue that it is slightly manipulative with its emotional tactics, but honestly, I don't think there is any form of propaganda that doesn't. It's important for people to know what's going on somewhere else in the world, because if we don't see it, we might not care or understand.

This video is very beneficial because like it stated, "because it is not happening here doesn't mean it is not happening". By showing from one person who is a child's point of view it shows what she is going through and when we visually see things happening we tend to believe it better.

This video is incredibly powerful. It may employ some manipulative tactics (like over-reliance on pathos), but its message is accurate and important. The Syrian refugee problem is real, and this video aims to characterize this issue in a manner more accessible to the average viewer.

This video is literally heart wrentching and completely relatable. It excites you in the opening with a birthday celebration for a little girl, then it slowly progresses through the deterioration of her normal life into being a refugee. It implies that this could happen to anyone. The tables can turn in no time. This is a strong piece.

A powerful montage of scenes showing a very relatable character living a life that is quickly degrading in every aspect. It is an effective way to engage non-Syrians by letting caucacian Westerners understand the issue and create sympathy by showing the effects on someone who looks like 'us.' The ability of a parent such as myself to empathize is likely to grow with this perspective. yes, we should care without the symbolism offered here, but for those who might see this as a possibility thoroughly outside of their perspective, it would be effective.
