Trump Propaganda

Background Information
This is a tweet former President Donald Trump uploaded to his twitter account on January 6, 2021. He was claiming that the presidential was rigged after he lost the 2020 election.
Technique Used
Attack Opponents
This is propaganda because
This post is propaganda because the 2020 election was in fact not rigged, and Trump is posting fake news to a mass audience. He is utilizing ethos to sway an audience. He is targeting voters from the 2020 election. He has credibility because he was the President of the United States for 4 years, so the country had a sense of trust in him. Since he is considered credible to some, they may believe him when they see that the election was rigged, and all of these hidden ballots were found, when this is not true. He is attacking opponents by claiming fraud against a certain group, but that really did not happen.

I 100% agree that this is an example of harmful propaganda because it is trying to convince people to believe that the elections were rigged. I liked that you detailed why ethos was used as a weapon in this case more so than an actual rhetorical tool to spread beneficial information. I also appreciated the sort of background information details that you mentioned to clearly portray the meaning of the tweet and how it impacted society at the time that it was posted. Overall, I think that it was a well written and concise post that explained your analysis perfectly, the only other thing that could have made this post even better would've been to mention the author's use of pathos.
