Trump uses term “Chinese Virus” amid criticism

Background Information
At the time of this tweet Donald Trump was still president. As a person in a position of power it is their job to use informed information and terminology.
Technique Used
Respond to Audience Needs
This is propaganda because
Trump is known for his twitter remarks as he often puts little to no thought into them before posting. He also knows that his followers mimic him so if he says something they will also say it.
Knowing that covid-19 did originate from Wuhan, China but was having a large outbreak in Europe at the time it was ignorant to call it the China virus and causes his followers to hold prejudice towards people of asian decent even if they are not chinese or are asian-american and have never traveled to Asia.

This tweet, directly from the last president, not even from an outside source, is definitely harmful. It is so easy to trace timelines of the prejudice messages he was spewing to the public, and find similar results both online and in the physical world of an increased hate for people of Asian descent. This is the most dangerous type of incorrect information in the form of propaganda because it is from a powerful person...and to a massive audience, some of whom unfortunately already had some form of prejudice against certain communities.
