Background Information
Incredibly popular poster worldwide was created by J. Howard Miller in 1943. Originally, it was created for Westinghouse Electric and used strictly internally to boost the morale of women who already worked at the company, rather than to recruit women to come to work. The poster was rediscovered in the early 80s and used to promote feminism, and is often mistaken for Rosie the Riveter.
