    This is the worst kind of "news" propaganda because it so successfully mixes real events with veiled statements of opinion. On the one hand we are told that 42 million Muslims support ISIS, but then the conversation masks the opposing interpretation of the number. Mauro asserts that these 42 million are somehow potential recruits for ISIS, so we should be scared. Yet there is no real evidence in the polling that suggests these "supporters" are ready to be recruited. "We have not done enough" the anchor tells us, but there is NO suggestion of how one might organize differently against ISIS. Ridiculous.

    This definitely activates emotion and fear. I think they cover some factual information but they need to be very careful as some of the data boarders on discrimination for Arab people and those who celebrate Ramadan.

    Islamophobia is so disgusting. How can you imply that the 42 million number you called are all people who view ISIS positively? ISIS is a bad group, we all understand this. I just do not see the point of this discussion. They are talking about ISIS, we already know ISIS is a threat to society, this segment is just scare tactics and what good is it for? To divide people/cultures the way ISIS is doing? Good grief!

    To be fair, I admittedly have a bit of a confirmation bias going in, as I expected this clip to be sort of fear-mongering tactic. However, I am always skeptical about reporting like this, because the interview glosses over the poll itself and goes into how terrifying the ISIS propaganda is. This makes me immediately wonder what's up. A research piece from The Bridge Initiative states that delving into the process of the group that did this study "reveals serious methodological weaknesses in their assessment of polling data, rendering their broad assertions about Arabs’ 'support' for ISIS highly misleading."

    This is some what beneficial, because it is giving off information to society about what's going on in another country and warning us to be careful.

    This clip definitely intends to incite an emotional reaction from its viewers. Two statements towards the end of the clip jumped out at me, "we let this happen, didn't we?" and "what we're looking at now is going to look like the good old days compared to what the future is going to look like." Neither of the those statements are backed up by facts in the segment. They're loaded statements at the end of the segment meant to leave viewers with a sense of fear.

    They are trying to pump the public with fear about ISIS by talking about how it's spreading. This is extremely harmful for people of the Islamic religion as they bring up holidays like Ramadan. They are giving off the perception that all practicing Muslims must be feared because of the growing "statistics" they're displaying.

    This is very harmful. They have included and grouped together a radicals with a peaceful people. They have throw up large numbers with well placed footage oh a masked man holding a rifle to incite fear and back up the numbers they are throwing up. Where is this information coming from? How many people were actually surveyed for the number to be 42 million? They are presenting the statistics they want you tee see, not actual statistical information.

    This is a very blatant example of islamophobia and is definitely harmful to those who are merely observing a religious holiday. This plays into the fear people have of being unfamiliar with a different religion. By connecting extreme sectors of a faith to all members, it is just trying to stir up fear.
