Kendall Jenner Sports Betting
Background Information
Kendall Jenner recently had one of the biggest ads in the Super Bowl where she claimed to be a sports better and poked fun at the conspiracy of the “Kardashian Kurse”, a conspiracy that says that all the athletes the women date begin to fail professionally after dating within the family. In the ad, Kendall claims she bets on her ex boyfriends who are professional athletes and is making money off the “Kardashian Kurse”. Response to audience needs is the dominant key here because it appeals to peoples need to win and be successful, it is saying you can be rich like her if you bet money on our app. Her celebrity status also makes it a response to audience needs. I think this advertisement is propaganda because it is selling success through celebrity status on something (sports betting) that does often not equivocate to success for most.
