The incredibly bizarre Dean Browning and “Dan Purdy” Twitter drama, explained

Background Information
A white male pro-life, pro-trump, pro-gun, republican politician named Dean Browning sent out a tweet on his verified twitter stating that he was a black male who was anti-obama, pro-trump and seemingly republican based on the jab at democrats.

People also seemingly found the fake burner account which was an account who was only created in October and commented frequently on Browning's posts and conversed with him.
Technique Used
Activate Emotion
This is propaganda because
The white republican politician was pretending to be a black LGBTQ+ republican man to promote pro-trump ideas and to make it look like there are more minorities who are pro-trump.

I had actually never seen or heard of this incident before, so this was incredibly shocking to me! This definitely perpetuates a negative notion, and all around bad image for those associating with the Republican party, specifically, and unfortunately stereotypically, white republican men. We could also look at this image as a positive propaganda if we capture it from the caption/reposts point of view. Jacob R has posted it in attempts to invoke emotion of how terrible of an act this was by stating that someone like Browning, who was about to be nominated, believes something like this.
