Appeal to Extremism

Achtergrondinformatie
Found on my Facebook during the weekend of riots and looting in Minneapolis and other cities. This image shows a man who looks like a terrorist. The caption says, "We wanted to be left alone and free. For that, they labelled us extremist." News reports indicate that white "chaos tourists" are responsible for more than 80% of the damage caused by protesters. These are often anti-government groups.

Dit is propaganda omdat
It exploits people's need for freedom and independence and links it to justify the violent use of power. Dangerous.

Big Igloo Bois administrators have encouraged its members to protest in Minneapolis, with one administrator urging members to “come in peace, prepare for there to be violence.” This is when speech becomes harmful, and the First Amendment does not protect dangerous speech. Inciting violence is criminal and needs to be prosecuted.
