   Here the writer uses the image of a perfect family to say that smoking doesn't affect the person smoking only. It affects his entire family . They are advising readers to stop smoking in order to save their lves and families lives.

   The writer plays on the fears of damaging the perfect family through a habit such as smoking. As the reader would prefer to preserve this ideal they would much rather stop smoking, provided they are not addicted. This effectively deters the reader from buying and consuming cigarettes.

   Every cigarette brings cancer closer. This statement triggers all cigarette smokers. They use fear to alert the smokers to stop smoking because if they continue doing it, it will result to this undesirable, uncured disease ( that is what the audience have in mind) Furthermore they say 'every cigarette' therefore it reduces their chances of smoking since they do not specify the type of cigarette but generalizes all of them. However the audience might not acknowledge that it state " bring cancer closer" suggesting that its not 100% but they are high chances or high probability of causing cancer. Hence forward they will be persuaded and go ahead following what the advert is telling them.

   I have chosen this picture because it has a meaningful sentence which is correct "Every cigarette brings cancer closer " this quote means that cigars are bad and as well know them and have learnt there consequences we should avoid them here a band wagon technique was used telling us to avoid cigars because they are harmful to our bodies, also loaded words were used "Cancer" which is a very scary thing to many teenagers who nowadays smokes a lot and anyone who reads this and sees the happy family will not have courage to smoke since they know that they will leave people behind because also they know cancer kills and is spent on a lot money also I think they used a family as a back ground for the quote which is a plain folk technique in order for people to be touched by it as many people have families and they do not want to be apart. In that picture I have only seen or understood three techniques

   This qualifies as propaganda because it panders towards our fears and anxieties about our health. This message is beneficial because it helps people be aware of the risks. The propagandist is selling the message by using the fear of getting cancer. This is using appeal to force because it is saying that if you smoke you will get hurt by cancer.

   The add states that every cigarette brings cancer closer. This is because so many people develop cancer from smoking cigarettes, and do not know the damage it will do to you. This is appealing to force because it is threatening that cigarettes will give you cancer.
