This is propaganda meant to stir the sci-fi minded population, both for recruiting purposes and also for purposes of garnering a generally favorable reputation. Personally, I feel it's harmful, as it shows a wildly unrealistic portrayal.

    This ad is trying to convince people to join the Air Force by showing good things the Air Force does. It shows the humanitarian aspects of the Air Force. It is playing on people's emotions and desire to help others by showing them rescuing hurt people. This ad is beneficial because it would make people want to join the Air Force.
