Graffiti as Propaganda

ALTOONA, Wis. (WEAU) - The Republican Party of Eau Claire County headquarters in Altoona was vandalized overnight between Friday evening and Saturday morning. The chairman of the Republican Party of Eau Claire County, Fred Kappus, said the building owner noticed the vandalism this morning. The windows were spray-painted with the phrase ‘pedophile protectors,’ and around a dozen eggs were thrown onto the building.
“We feel this is just a wanton act of vandalism done against the Republican Party by somebody on the left,” Kappus said. “Apparently, based upon the slogan that was painted on our windows, they must suffer from ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome.’” Kappus said Altoona Police were called when the vandalism was noticed. He said the Altoona Police are investigating and reviewing camera footage in the area.
