   The ad doesn't shock people who are having problems with drugs, but rather moralizes their addiction by instrumentalizing and perpetuating the cliché that peoples looks determine their overall status (and ultimately their worth). In other words, if you look like a cavemen, you are socially, mentally, and evolutionally "backward". In this sense the ad is propaganda for a certain norm of looking at and judging people: "tidy, clean & shaved" equals being properly humane, while "dirty, bruised, and burned out" equals less than human, or somehow lesser, lower, deviating from the norm in "how one is supposed to look".

   I think this message was beneficial, because it makes people aware of how drugs change you and it might scare them away, because they don't want to end up looking like the person shown.

   I support the activate emotion technique here. When it comes to trying to scare people away from something, drug use should definitely be one.

   I think this ad shows the dark side to addiction, one most people do not realize, or choose not to see. This is a bit shocking for those who take a good glance at it, leaving a beneficial impression to those who view the image. It's alarming, but it's the truth behind addiction and should be exposed. Addiction is dangerous and this successfully shows the ugly truth behind it.

   Just from looking at the ratings, I am slightly confused as to how anyone would vote this as harmful. I do understand that it may provide the notion that if you're scruffy you're automatically labeled as a drug user. But in this particular picture, it is just displaying what could happen to someone who is a drug user if they were to stop using drugs. I believe the photo is beneficial for anybody.

   This is definitely beneficial and is showing you what drugs can do to your look if you keep taking them. This is emotional tactic but I find it one that does everyone help to notice but it is good propaganda that for the best.

   This is beneficial because it raises awareness for drug use while connecting the audience to a recognizable backdrop (Facebook). Using a Facebook theme gets people to pay attention and will activate emotion since it is familiar.

   I find this ad to be very beneficial. I think it's hard for people to see the physical effects drugs can have one someone, so this ad showing a before and after image really makes you look at how much they can change a person's appearance. My rating was in the largest percentile.

   I think this really raises great, legitimate awareness about the impact that drugs can have on someone. It's beneficial because you can actually take yourself and see the impact it has on you personally, which is more relatable than seeing it on someone else. I think this would have high audience receptivity and the means of communication and format is spectacular.

   I think this perfectly achieves the point it is trying to make. It shoes how much damage can occur from using drugs in an amount of time compared to what would happen without drugs, and it makes the audience never want to use drugs. Overall I feel like this is a beneficial ad.

   I rated this post is beneficial. Sure, no drug companies would appreciate this and after a year on drugs not everyone will look like this. But one has to be intelligent about the effects of the substances one chooses to put in their body. As a side note, they should totally specify which drug(s) because substances like cocaine and marijuana do not have the same after effects.

   I love this photo. I love social media and I love trying to get people to understand how terrible drugs can be for you. It is great that they put both those things together because almost everyone is on social media, so it can easily be linked
