   This is another example of government propaganda. The armed forces recruitment commercial tries to draw on people's patriotism and to also creates emotions such as excitement and bravery. It implies that if you do not move towards the sound of chaos you are neither brave or patriotic.

   I'm against war, but I do understand the importance of each country having military forces. I don't understand how this could be considered negative propaganda either this ad will move you to join the Marines or it won't. However, the opportunity is available for those who have the calling.

   This is a very clear representation of Americans posing themselves as the heroes of the militarized world. How easy would it be to swap out the audio with a language besides English, swap out the flag colors and turn it into a film of an invasion of America? To me, it shows an invasion into an unfamiliar place, surrounded by glamorized war equipment. It's no different from the enemy they're saying they're running after.

   The commercial definitely relies on emotion in order to recruit potential Marines. I find it more on the beneficial side since a military presence is vital to any nation but I have reservations over the assumption that by simply being a Marine in this case, automatically means an individual will be fighting the good fight. It doesn't allow for the possibility of an individual making up their own minds once they've joined the military.

   This commercial activates feelings of glory and combat. Marines are not always in combat. Also glorifies war and does not present all of the realities.

   I am in the middle in regards to this emotional propaganda. It definitely gets the heart pumping but I honestly think about the danger of the noises and how I would not want to be part of the screams and fire.

   I disagreed with mostly everyone on this one. I found this one beneficial because it asked you to join the Marines, or it at least showed you that you should join the Marines and how beneficial they are

   My rating came in second highest compared to others. I think using the boxes marked "aid" is what made me roll my eyes a little bit. Yes, our military forces also offer aid when needed but the commercial clearly leaves out the suffering of war and military actions, on all sides. I don't think it is too harmful, though, because it is clearly a commercial aimed at recruiting, it says it's paid for by the marines, I think most people "get it."

   I saw the video, then read the background information. I was thinking just what they explained how they use excitement and "big cool toys" to attract the young men to enter the military.

   This is a beneficial propaganda. As a former member of the military it is true that the calling is only for a select group of people. Only 1% of the US population is in the Military. I believe the display is accurate and thoroughly executed.

   It is both harmful & Beneficial. It is beneficial because it gives the military more people to join & protect our country but it is also harmful because people die while trying to protect our country.

   I only rated this a neutral because of a conflict of interest; I know that the current war, which this implies involvement in, isn't quite as simple as good and evil.
   
   Plus, I've worked with Marines. There are a few I can count who would definitely be running away from the fight. ;)

   I think this is more beneficial than not because it is showing some of the realities that real life marines go through. The pull on emotions is heavy here, and it's intensity keeps your attention. The dramatic background music is perhaps too much, but overall a good "reality check" type commercial.
