A PSA created by Polaris Charter Academy with the help of the seniors in the broadcast class at Westinghouse High School asking for a day of peace on June 10th - one day of no shootings, no killings, no violence.

    This is beneficial because they want kids to grow up. People need to make peace so kids can live their lives.

    Ultimately this is a good message but I don't like the fear that is instilled at the beginning of the video. This is a serious subject but it can be handled a little better

    I believe this could be very harmful, because the initial reaction is fear. The PSA talks about peace, community involvement, and neighborly care, yet it gives the sense that the community should be afraid.

    I did appreciate the message they were trying to get across, but the first scene kind of confused me. I got the gist of what was going on, but the girl on the floor, I don't know I think it was a bit too much.

    i think it was harmful and beneficial. I mean the horrors of a kid dieing in a park is real but it's not something you should just put out like that

    I think this is very beneficial because the violence needs to stop in the city of Chicago. Too many young and innocent people are dieing because of gang violence. A day of peace would be a great step towards curbing violence and shootings in the city.

    I think this is beneficial because it shows all of the violence that is going on, and it hits home to people who are experiencing this violence. Also, the sadness of the video really shows how big of a problem this is.

    I think this is beneficial because it plays on the emotions and makes you aware of the rising problem of gangs and violence in high schools. I think by showing the effects it has, it will make people realize that they need a day of peace.

    This video shows the violence that is happening around the world. It is easy to feel sadness not only because these kids are being killed, but because this is happening in our backyards and it is a major problem in Chicago.

    I am not surprised to see that most people rated this beneficial. It probably hits home for a lot of parents and a lot of people that live in troubled neighborhoods. I personally don't know what this is like so it is hard for me to relate, but I can only imagine what it must feel like to live in a neighborhood where you don't feel safe enough to go for a run at night.

    I think it's propaganda becuase of the beginning, they used children's voices, along with the strong emotions that follow the gunshot. However, I think it's beneficial.

    This is an example of beneficial propaganda that is promoting peace. The choice in subject matter works perfectly with the theme of hope and innocence. Where this comes off as being beneficial lies ultimately in its positive message. It is intended to discourage violence.
