This ad is a response to pressure from consumers about McDonald's farming and food preparation practices. It suggests that their food is "natural" (fries come from real potatoes) and fresh. Information is likely missing, so this could be harmful.

To me McDonald's chose to display the only natural product on their menu. What's missing is the oil that it's FRIED in. Fries aren't the only items McDonald's sells. Of course they wouldn't dare advertise an image of the ingredients in a burger.

Harmful for McDonald's because it is the only time I have seen their fries and not wanted to eat them. Also harmful because it's logically fallacious. Just because something's "natural" doesn't mean it's good for you. Those fries can be as natural as the day is long, but I assure you, they ARE NOT good for you. That's why they are so so delicious.
