I found this to be very impactful and a good use of activating emotion. Showing the child being strangled by harmful words is a good display of what emotional abuse can do to someone. The goal of the propaganda is to make people aware of the problem with a visual explanation that just you can't see bruises doesn't mean it's not doing significant harm to the child.

This is an example of activate emotion, I am not so sure it's not harmful to the boy in the pic, I think the hand surrounding the neck is too much.

I simply do not like the art. I wouldn't subject a child to that type (Especially if they weren't to decide it for themselves). They could have gotten the message across without circulating what looks to be like a nude child with an adult hand around its neck.

This type of propaganda is truly beneficial and gets the point across. When dealing with an issue such as abuse there really is no two sides. There is only one side, abuse is bad. I was with the majority on this issue. I was surprised to see that so many find this harmful.

The statement is so true and I agree with it. My rating is far above others who do not see the statement as beneficial.

It appears that my rating of this ad, goes along with mostly everyone else that rated it as beneficial. I think the message is clear that words do have a strong hold on children and can be just as bad as physical abuse.

I definitely think this form of propaganda is effective because it appeals to emotion. As a parent, it made me feel bad about using harsh words when trying to discipline my son. Most people agreed with my rating 60% said it was beneficial.

Words hurt. The subtle negative messages that I was sent growing up, still have not left my brain even though I now understand that they were ill-made judgments of reality. I wish these types of messages were around when I was younger. I rated this as beneficial.

I love this because I do not feel like people realize how much their words can harm others, especially children

Even though the actions in this are harmful this particular piece of propaganda is beneficial for people to view because it shows the pain words can cause to children that we as a society might not think to much about.

This advertisement is very beneficial and effectively displays the "words" that are used towards a child are just as much abuse as physical abuse. A person doesn't have to be physically abusive to be an abuser.

I think this is brilliant. It is for a positive cause and the analogy used with the photo is very effective. Why would this be harmful?

This is an excellent example of activating emotion. The child is crying to start, and then followed by a hand around his neck. There is only one way to interpret the message which is also another positive.

This image is very beneficial. I say this because it is showing what words can do to a child and how much it hurts. By doing and saying these kind of words to children it is putting more harm on them then we may think, which makes it definitely emotional abuse.

This is a great representation of connecting words to an image. It shows just how powerful and hurtful words can be even though its not physical

I do not believe this is harmful propaganda by any means. It is a message that rings true and links a message with a visual representation about the impact words can have on a child. This image activates emotion

I think that the beneficial aspect of this ad is apparent, but more than anything, I'm incredibly curious to hear from the side who voted this as "harmful."

I would say this ad is mostly beneficial. The emotion on the child's face makes it real how much hurtful words can affect others. I dislike the hand around the child's throat, and feel that is a bit overboard.

I am in the 60 percent who believe that this ad absolutely is beneficial to its cause. The symbolism of words forming a hand to choke the child are a powerful reminder that verbal abuse can be every bit as damaging as the unthinkable act of choking a child. This image would activate various emotions, including sadness, anger, fear or despair in any rational human being.

This propaganda is beneficial because it is trying to help the audience visualize a problem many Americans have. It is good for the public to be exposed to the fact that verbal abuse goes along with physical abuse and each can have a traumatic affect on children.

This is beneficial because it evoking emotion to make the viewer think about the effect that words can have on others. It sends a positive message- one of empathy and the idea that one should consider others before acting or saying things that can be hurtful and unnecessary.

I think this is very true because people can be hurt as much physically than with words and they are putting the word out there that this happens so thats a benefit but it can also scare some people which can make it harmful
